Telecom technician:

 

1) Work with your IT department or Help Desk as an on-site tech for networking related issues and diagnostics.

2) Install, terminate, locate, repair, and label data, voice, or other low voltage wiring.

3) Connection of wiring to telephone control units or network equipment such as switches, routers, wireless access points, time clocks, etc.

SERVICE 4

Site surveys: 

Performance of  site surveys to determine correct wire types prior to upgrades, porting of telephone service from one provider to another, VoIP installs, new wireless access points, etc. Will provide documentation, detailed pictures, equipment make, model, MAC addresses and serial numbers. 

SERVICE 2

Pre and post wiring:

 

Pre-wiring for businesses in new or established buildings. Terminations made in patch panels and jacks. End to end testing of wiring once complete.

 

Also perform telecom wiring removals prior to moving into suites or for renovations and code compliance. 

SERVICE 5

Demarc extensions: 

 

Extension of demarcation to your suite or network server area after the Local Service Provider establishes service. Local Service Providers normally end their work near the building entrance terminal or adjacent demarc. This is where our work begins.   

Wire install, repair, and ID:

 

Locating, toning, testing, cross-connecting, wire-mapping, and labeling of wiring in telecom equipment rooms, ILEC central office co-locations, and at desk or remote locations.

 

Complete work on POTS (plain old telephone service) wiring including fax, voice, and alarm dial tone circuits.

Quality, Productivity related:

 

 Can provide quality inspections of cabling, outside plant, service drops, etc with pictures provided.
